It was Adam's first time back in the kart in 6 months, and with new tyres to understand, lots of effort was put in to get up to speed.

Adam finished 3rd and 6th in the first two heats, and 18th in the third heat due to a mechanical issue. This gave him a starting position of 6th for the final.

After being boxed in at the start, Adam soon began to regain positions and eventually finished the 24-lap final in 6th place!

10th place in the championship!

10th October 2017

After finishing in 11th place at Kimbolton, the championship points were calculated and Adam finished in 10th place overall.

Difficulties at Forest Edge

6th August 2017

From Sunday morning Adam was on the back foot due to controversial tyre supplies and ended up with a slower tyre than most others on the grid.

It also became apparent during the day that an integral part of the kart's structure had broken and was the cause of handling issues that Adam suffered with all weekend. This will either need replacing or repairing for the last round at Kimbolton.

Despite these problems Adam managed to qualify 11th for the final and looked to have the pace to at least maintain his position and take home some valuable championship points. Unfortunately, Adam was clipped on the opening lap and knocked up into the air, causing his water pump's bands to snap. This meant he had to retire to avoid overheating the engine.

In the end, Adam was classified in 22nd place and will most likely have to drop this low score in the championship. Hopefully the issues experienced this weekend should be rectified for the final round in October and he hope to be in with a chance for a top 10 result.

Nightmare weekend at Shenington

16th July 2017

On the eve of practice day at Shenington, Adam's dad's van was stolen from outside their hotel. Inside the van was the majority of their karting equipment including spares, tools, and much more, as well as all of Adam's racewear.

Despite this enormous setback, Adam made the decision to continue to race at Shenington and was able to do so thanks to the kindness and generosity of many people in the paddock.

After only two practice sessions on Saturday, Adam went into Sunday with very little experience of the weekend but had a good first heat but not so great results in heats 2 and 3. This meant he started 15th in the final out of 30.

At the start of the final, Adam found himself boxed in and had a poor getaway, losing a few positions. He managed to regain several positions by the end of the race and crossed the line in 14th place. Not the best of results but by far the least of his worries after what happened to be a very stressful weekend.

Thanks to everyone who gave their help and support throughout the course of the weekend. Without this help Adam would not be able to continue racing this year, but now he plans to finish the Super 4 championship by competing at the final two rounds at Forest Edge and Kimbolton.

7th at Rowrah

11th June 2017

Adam had a good weekend at Rowrah and gained more valuable points in the championship. After a rain soaked Saturday, the first time he drove the track in the dry this weekend was in his second heat!

Adam finished 10th, 3rd and 4th in his heats which gave him a starting position of 8th for the final. He maintained that position throughout the race but inherited 7th when another driver suffered a mechanical problem. Adam is quite happy with the result although he made a lot of mistakes during the race which cost him time - without these he could have possibly been challenging for 5th place.

The next round of the Super 4 championship is at Shenington on the 16th of July.

10th place at Kimbolton

14th May 2017

Adam qualified 7th on the grid for the final today at Kimbolton after finishing 16th, 4th and 8th in the heats.

At the start of the final Adam was tagged from behind coming out of the first corner and had to recover from almost spinning. This caused him to drop down to 14th place, but he worked his way back up to 11th by the end of the race. After an exclusion, Adam inherited 10th place.

It was definitely a better weekend than Round 1 and 2 and Adam has earned some valuable points in the championship! He is now looking forward to the next round at Rowrah on the 10th and 11th of June.

15th at Glan-Y-Gors

16th April 2017

Adam struggled in Saturday testing after suffering with tyres all day on an abrasive circuit, and on Sunday the weather made choosing the right tyres difficult for everyone involved.

Each race had different conditions to the next, and Adam finished 5th and 12th in his first two heats.

Unfortunately, another kart made contact with Adam in the third heat leading to him spinning onto the grass and being unable to get the kart going again. Adam was disappointed by not being able to continue but he will be working to improve and make sure it doesn't happen again.

All this meant Adam started in 15th place for the final, which proved to be the wettest race of the day after lots of uncertainty in the weather. Adam lost places on the start while trying to avoid contact ahead of him at the first corner, but managed to claw his way back to his original position of 15th in the end while struggling with very worn wet tyres from earlier in the day.

After such a difficult weekend Adam will be putting it behind him and looking forward to the next round at Kimbolton in May, where he also hopes to have a bit more luck on his side!

Mixed Weekend at Fulbeck

26th March 2017

Adam had a lot of bad luck during his qualifying heats that left him with a lot of work to do in the final.

Things didn't quite go as planned in the heats and Adam ended up qualifying 18th for the final. After working his way through the frantic first few laps Adam found a rhythm and worked his way up to 11th place by the end of the race while setting one of the fastest lap times of the day.

Adam would've loved to have been racing at the front of the pack but he is still very happy with the pace today and hopes to take it forward to the next round at Glan-Y-Gors!
